ANNUAL REPORT

Art. 39.29
(1)
Enterprises shall prepare an annual financial report as of December 31.
(2)
The annual financial report must give a true and fair picture of the material and financial condition of the enterprise, the financial result generated, and any changes in cash flows.
Art. 40.30
(1)
The annual report shall include:
  1. Balance Sheet (Annex No. 1);
  2. Statement of Income and Expenses (Annex No. 2);
  3. Cash Flow Statement (Annex No. 3);
  4. Statement of Owner's Equity (Annex No. 4);
  5. Annexes.
(2)
The annual report of the enterprises applying single-entry accounting shall include a Statement of Income and Expenses (Annex No. 2).
(3)
 31 Enterprises may draw up, file with the statistics agencies, and publish alternative forms of a balance sheet, statement of income and expenses, cash flow statement and owner's equity statement as per the National Accounting Standards.
(4)
Under hyperinflation, enterprises shall draw up their annual financial report in compliance with the National Accounting Standards.
(5)
Annual reports of enterprises that are subject to obligatory auditing and verification shall be filed by 30 June to the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Art. 41.32
(1)
The form and the content of the balance sheet, statement of income and expenses, cash flow statement and owner's equity statement of banks, insurance and investment companies, of investment intermediaries, budget-funded and other enterprises shall be set in the National Accounting Standards.
(2)
The form and the content of the annexes to the annual financial report of enterprises shall be set by the Minister of Finance, and for banks - by the Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank; these shall be promulgated in the State Gazette.
Art. 42.
(1)
Enterprises shall prepare their annual reports by February 15 of the following year.
(2)
Enterprises having subsidiaries drawing up a separate balance sheet shall prepare a consolidated annual report by March 1 of the following year.
(3)
Enterprises represented by more than half of the shares, participation instalments, votes or members of the managing bodies of other enterprises shall prepare reports for their own activity and a consolidated report for the economic group by May 31 of the following year.

Art. 43.
(1)
The annual report shall be submitted by enterprises to the statistical institutions by March 31 of the following year, while enterprises under Art. 42, par. 3 shall do so by June 15 of the following year.
(2)
 34 Enterprises under Art. 52, par. 1 shall publish, by May 31, their annual balance sheet and annual statement of income and expenses in a daily newspaper or in a specialised economic or financial publication, while banks, branches of foreign financial institutions or insurance agencies shall publish theirs in the State Gazette. The same order for publishing, by June 30 of the following year, shall be applied to consolidated balance sheets and statements of income and expenses.
Art. 44.

The form, content and regularity of the accounting reports for the purposes of the management of the enterprise shall be determined by its managing bodies.
