Order of the National Bank of Slovakia

(Order of the National Bank of Slovakia No. 456/2001 Coll. stipulating details of conditions on which it is possible to produce and use reproductions of banknotes, commemorative banknotes, coins, commemorative coins, commercial coins and securities issued by the National Bank of Slovakia as well as the objects imitating them by the layout, including their records in the electronic form)

The provision of Section 17h lett. f) of the Act on NBS is executed by this Order, whereas the details of conditions on which it is possible to produce and use reproductions of banknotes, commemorative banknotes, coins, commemorative coins, commercial coins and securities issued by NBS, as well as the objects imitating them by the layout, including their records in the electronic form, are stipulated.

The Order stipulates that reproductions of banknotes and commemorative banknotes or parts thereof can be produced and used only as single-sided black and white or single-sided colour photographs, drawings, paintings, films or other forms of illustration if the bank notes themselves are not the main focus point and motive of these reproductions and on the assumption that the reproductions do not provide a detailed view of appearance of the whole banknote. It is possible to make illustrations of the details of parts of banknotes only if they do not overlap a half of the surface of pattern of a reproduced banknote.

Reproductions or imitations of securities issued by NBS can be produced and used only under a condition that they are clearly designated as a reproduction.

This Order has cancelled and replaced the Order of the State Bank of Czecho-Slovakia No. 146/1992 Coll. on conditions on which it is possible to reproduce banknotes, coins, cheques, securities and credit cards and to produce objects imitating them by the layout.

This Order is in force from 1 December 2001.
