Act on Organisation of Governmental Activities and Organisation of Central State AdministrationAct No. 575/2001 Coll. on Organisation of Governmental Activities and Organisation of Central State Administration This Act regulates activities of the Government of the Slovak Republic, organisation, operation and tasks of ministries and other central authorities of state administration. In the Slovak Republic, there are the following 15 ministries: Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Transportation, Post and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Agriculture of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak republic, Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Work, Social Affairs and Family of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry for Administration and Privatisation of National Property of the Slovak Republic. Other central authorities of the Slovak Republic are as follows: Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic, Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic, Statistics Office of the Slovak Republic, Office of State Service, Office of Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre of the Slovak Republic, Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Slovak Republic, Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing, Office for Public Procurement, Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic, Administration of State Tangible Reserves of the Slovak Republic and the National Safety Office. This Act repealed the Act No. 347/1990 Coll. on Organisation of Ministries and other Central State Administration Bodies, as amended, which was valid until present. This Act is in force from 1 January 2002. Provisions of Sec. para. 6 a Sec. 40 para. 5 to 9 cease to be effective from 31 March 2002. |
