Contents and Manner of Performance of Professional Examination and Re-examination of Professional Qualification of a Broker

(Order of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic No. 108/2001 on contents and manner of performance of professional examination and re-examination of professional qualification of a broker and determination of fee for performance of professional examination and re-examination of qualification of the broker)

This order regulates contents of the professional examination and e-examination of professional qualification of brokers.

This order also stipulates frequency of examinations, whereas at least one examination is held in a calendar year. Date of the examination or re-examination shall be announced by the Office for Financial Market in a nation-wide periodical press publishing stock-exchange news, whereas the date of examination or re-examination shall be known at least 60 days prior to the examination or re-examination.

The order further determines pre-requisites of an application for the examination or re-examination of professional qualification of brokers. A fee of SKK 5,000 is payable for the examination or re-examination.

The examination and re-examination are not public and consist of a written and spoken part. The examination and re-examination take place before a 7-member commission appointed by the chairman of the Office for Financial Market.

This order has cancelled the order of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic No. 121/1993 Coll. on Contents and Manner of Performance of Broker's Examination.

This order is in force from 1 April 2001.
