Act on Collecting, Keeping and Dissemination of Information on Environment

Act No. 205/2004 Coll. on Collecting, Keeping and Dissemination of Data on Environment, and amending certain other acts

This act stipulates conditions and procedure for collecting, keeping and dissemination of information on environment by bodies of public administration and other legal entities and individuals.

Data means any information on conditions of the environmental components, factors, particularly energy, noise, vibration, radiation, emissions, on activity and arrangements which affect or are capable of affecting the above mentioned environmental components, on reports on application and fulfilment of the conditions of generally binding legal regulation within the section of environmental diligence, analysis of costs and benefits in the framework of existing arrangements and activity and on the condition or public health and safety and environmental factors in relation with public health.

Entities obliged to collect, keep and disseminate data on environment are bodies of public administration, legal entities constituted by law or a body of public administration if they fulfil tasks of public administration or perform professional services relating to environment and individuals entrepreneurs and legal entities fulfilling such tasks on the basis of a contract concluded with a body of public administration.

This Act came into force on 1 July 2004.
