Amendment to Act on Organisation of the Constitutional Exchange, Proceedings before it and Position of its Judges and Amendment to Act on Elections into European Parliament

Act No. 324/2004 Coll., amending and supplementing the Act of the National Council of the Slovak Republic No. 38/1993 Coll. on Organisation of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic, Proceedings before It and on Position of its Judges as amended and on supplementing the Act No. 331/2003 Coll. on Elections into the European Parliament as amended by the Act No. 515/2003 Coll.

Amendment to the Act No. 38/1993 Coll. on Organisation of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic, Proceedings before It and on Position of its Judges as amended regulates the proceedings of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic in case of examination of constitutionality and legality of elections into the European Parliament in connection with elections into the European Parliament and amendment to the Slovak Constitution performed by the Constitutional Act No. 323/2004 Coll.

Further to newly incorporated competence of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic to examine the constitutionality and legality of elections into the European Parliament, this Act supplemented also the Act No. 331/2003 Coll. on Elections into the European Parliament with a provisions under which the Chairman of the Slovak Parliament shall announce new elections into the European Parliament within 30 days from the delivery of the finding of the Constitutional Court by which the invalidity of elections into the European Parliament was declared.

This Act became effective on 1 June 2004.
