Supplementary Protocol to the Agreement on Protection of Individuals during Automatized Personal Data Processing related to Supervisory Authorities and Cross-border Data Flows

Notification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic No. 20/2005 Coll. on the Adoption of Supplementary Protocol to the Agreement on Protection of Individuals during Automatized Personal Data Processing related to Supervisory Authorities and Cross-border Data Flows

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic notifies that the Supplementary Protocol to the Agreement on Protection of Individuals during Automatized Personal Data Processing related to Supervisory Authorities and Cross-border Data Flows was adopted in Strasbourg on 8 November 2001.

The National Council of the Slovak Republic granted its consent to this Supplementary Protocol on 17 May 2002 and at the same time classified it as an international treaty according to Article 7 para 5 of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic which shall prevail over the laws of the Slovak Republic.

The President of the Slovak Republic ratified the Supplementary Protocol on 11 July 2002.

The Supplementary Protocol became valid on 1 July 2004 and it became binding from 26 January 2005.
