(Act No. 139/2003 Coll., amending and supplementing the Act No. 575/2001 Coll. on Organisation of the Activity of the Government and Organisation of the Supreme State Administration, as amended and supplementing the Act No. 312/2001 Coll. on State Service and amending and supplementing certain other acts, as amended)
By the amendment to the Competence Act, the Ministry for Administration and Privatisation of the National Property of the Slovak Republic is wound up and the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic becomes its legal successor and the supreme state administration authority for denationalisation and privatisation of the state property in the entrepreneurial field.
In several cases the competence between the Ministries is transferred as well:
- area of zoning and construction regulation, save for ecological aspects, from the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic to the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic;
- informatics and informatisation of the society from the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic to the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic;
- water economy from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Slovak Republic to the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic; and
- production of building materials from the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic to the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.
This Act came into effect on 1 May 2003.
