In January 2002, the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic issued the Decree No.
42/2002 Coll. on Proof of Satisfaction of Conditions for Investment Services Approval and the
Decree No. 43/2002 Coll. on Prerequisites of the Application for a Prior Approval under Section
70 para. 1 of the Act on Securities and Investment Services. For more details about the
Decrees, please see the Financial Law News - January 2002.
The Act on Securities and Investment Services is in force from 1
January 2002, save for the provisions of Sec. 58, Sec. 63 to Sec. 69, Sec. 70 para. 6, Sec. 121
para. 2 lett. l) and para. 3, Sec. 125, Sec. 130 para. 12 and 13 and Sec. 131, which will
become effective on the effective date of the Agreement on Accession of the Slovak Republic to
the European Communities, and save for Sec. 73 para. 1 lett. h), which will become effective on
30 June 2003.
