Order of the Government of the Slovak Republic No. 388/2002 Coll. on
Regulation of Substitute for Loss on Income after the end of Incapacity to Work or due to
Disability
The Act No. 40/1964 Coll., the Civil Code, as amended, contains in its Section 447, para. 3
an authorisation given to the Government to adjust conditions, amount and method of
compensation of loss on income caused by incapacity to work or disability, based on changes in
an average income. The average income in the Slovak economy for the year 2001 reached SKK
12,365 with an annual growth index of 108.2 %. Thereby the order increases the average income
for purposes of substitute calculation by 8.2 %.
This Order became effective on 1 October 2002.
