Amendment to Cadastral Act

Act No. 419/2002 Coll., amending and supplementing the Act No. 180/1995 Coll. on Certain Measures Organising the Ownership of Land, as amended, and amending and supplementing the Act No. 162/1995 Coll. on Land Book Registry and on Registration of Real Estate Ownership (the Cadastral Act), as amended

From 1 January 2002, Section 28, para. 5 of the Cadastral Act allowed to achieve effectiveness of registration of transfer of ownership to flats and non-residential premises as of the day of delivery of the application for registration. The Amendment changes this provision, and such registrations become effective as of the day of delivery of application only in case of transfers of ownership to lessors of such premises.

Proceedings on registrations of flats and non-residential premises transfers commenced before effectiveness of this amendment will be continued under the new regulation.

This Act became effective from 1 September 2002.
